Final Clip #3

This clip a combination of a couple rough clips meant to appear simultaneously to surprise the viewer with the presence of light and persective. The two shots unfold and evolve in a similar range of motion; parallel in space and time.

Final Clip #2

This final clip is a mixture of the rough playground shot and a few brief stills shot in rapid successsion. The focal point here is on the mystical nature surrounding the reflection and passing of light through small, somewhat un-noticed spaces.

Final Clip #1

In this Final clip the original rough cut of the statue and rearranged the stills in such a way that the viewer could focus on several different images in a random pattern rather than a circular organized motion. The rythmic quality is orderly at first, only to become scattered and displaced. Eventually this method continues in reverse fashion with the emphasis always centered on the images contrast of shadow and light.

Railing

In this clip I tried to gather as much continuity as possible as I filmed light shining through the railings of a school. The idea was to let the viewer follow the light in almost a trance-like state of mind.

Tennis

Similar to that of the railing shot this look at a tennis court net was very simple and continous. It consisted of close-ups and pull aways maneuvering over the and around the gaps of light.

Statue

In this shot I took a close-up of a statue at a local high school. The close-ups were meant to convey the likeness/differences of light and shadow as it pertains to the structural shape of the given architecture.

Playground Part 1

This is a shot at a playground in White Fish Bay. To shoot this portion I crawled around and underneath a jungle gym to obtain the the reflection of light. I was hoping to give it something of a maze-traveling approach.

Playground Part 2

This was also shot at Cahill Park at a playground. The theme here was to see light reflected through different shapes as they take form through the microscope of a camera.

Strategy #2

The second strategy for light capturing was the attention to shadowy images reflected from a given surface/object(s).

Strategy #1

The First Stategy comprised of focusing on the image of light (the sun) shining through and in between the spaces of other objects in the foreground.
